The wind rushed through pale blonde hair as Alyssa crept slowly onto the roof. She was ditching class, as usual, and had somehow ended up on the roof. Not content to sit and watch the world go by through a pane of glass in her classroom, she wanted to be a part of the action, specifically the action involved outside. Though, not that there was much to look at. The same thing stretched with no breaks on either side.
Sand tossed stones and the occassional building thrown in to spice a few things up. That was exactly what you got for living smack in the centre of the Nevadan desert. Not that it was a bad thing, perpetual sunshine was great for those vitamin D levels. And for those who wished to get a tan.
Aly wasn't like that, and so she was up here, glaring out at the sand, wishing she could be anywhere else than here. Not that she wanted to leave her friends. Just that she was so sick of having constant reminders of her childhood, she had managed to kick that out of her system. Though, living what seemed like a stones throw from the trailor park where she had been dragged up, was no picnic.
Her normally content face was screwed into a scowl as she glared at the surrounding sand. "I hate it. I hate it all. This is just so pointless." Words gushed out of her mouth, filling the quiet air with the torn obscenities of her train of thought. For some reason life and school was getting on the top of her.
Not that she would let it be admitted to anyone. She had to act the perfect, 'Scene-Queen'. She scowled again and began to promptly kick the railing around the edge, her scuffed converse giving a deep rumbling noise as the chain links crashed and moved to her rhythm.
I Killed The Prom Queen screamed in her ears. Cutting out any music of the surrounding world. She no longer cared if a teacher found her, taking her seemingly unfuelled anger out on the railing.
